Bridal Booth/ Updates

We did it!!! haha.. whooo hooo!!! Last Sunday, Wes and I participated in our very first Bridal Show!! It was awesome, I got to meet so many cool and interesting people. I was so proud of us working to build our booth... it was so much fun. It started out as a drawing (shown above) and we actually created it!! I discovered that I love building things with my husband! I am learning just how handy he is :) So here are our photos... you will have to excuse the un-professionalism in them... I was tired of carrying around my "real" camera... so these are just normal pictures with our point and shoot, Thank God for point and shoots...

Now for the "updates"
Wes and I are gearing up for a busy October full of sessions and weddings, but finishing September strong with a much anticipated wedding this Friday... I can't wait for this one. We are in the works of praying for and deciding if we are going to get a gallery here in Florence. It is pretty exciting to think about, so fingers crossed we will find the right place at the right time. As far as we go, we are more in love than ever I think, enjoying our moments off with new Netflix movies and romantic drives to places we have never been. Marry your best friend. That is what I was always told. Thank the Lord, I found my best friend and he agreed to marry me. I am blessed.

Jonathan + Lane

This couple is amazing, this shoot was amazing, my job is amazing. Wow. Seriously. This was my first time shooting back in Wes' hometown of Tupelo, MS, and it was fabulous. There were so many cool windows, alleyways, vacant buildings... I can't wait to go back for a second shoot. First off, Lane and Jonathan have the sweetest relationship... it is the special kind, where you know he is going to make her laugh for the rest of her life. I love it.

This session reminded me of why I love my job so much...meeting amazing couples, finding interesting locations, and flirting with my husband while shooting pictures I have never shot before.... I am blessed.

Thank you Lane and Jonathan!! You rock!! I hope to work with you again soon!!!

Amy + Chris

Amy and Chris got married!! It was beautiful. They held the ceremony at their home, on their front porch. Chris spent the day with some friends hanging curtains, putting out candles, and making the space perfect for his bride. It was amazing. Wes and I were honored to be the only two guests, and I actually got to sign the marriage certificate as a witness!!! Whoo hoo!!! hahaha. It was awesome.

I have never experienced anything like this. I loved it. It is refreshing to be apart of a pure ceremony, without the lights and glamor. Thank you Chris and Amy. I hope to work with you again in the future.

Chris + Heather Post Session

Ok, here it is. My official favorite shoot thus far. Heather and Chris opted to a "fashionably late" session (that is my after the wedding session, and the best session of all). It was AWESOME!!!! They were truly willing to do ANYTHING... including running through a water park. Which has been the highlight of my career. I love shooting couples who are fearless. They trust Wes and I to explore our options without questioning our ability. Heather and Chris... THANK YOU.

Here are a few of their shots... I tried to save some of the best for the website... check back :)

And please check out the second from the bottom picture... it was our personal favorite from the day... Wes is so good at capturing the personality of the couple... haha... this is definitely a Chris and Heather moment :)
