Brooke + Chase & Vacation

Brooke and Chase... your wedding ROCKED!!! Wow. Everyone, please just look at that cake. Man, it was something to behold. I loved loved getting to know you Brooke!! If you ever need ANYTHING let me know!!

And for potential clients, clients, family, friends, Wes and I are on vacation!! Well, kinda, we have our first out of town wedding!! Whoo hoo!!! We are leaving tonight for Gatlinburg, we have a wedding there Saturday. Then we are in Asheville just enjoying each other and life. Then stop by Atlanta for the Coldplay concert (WHOO HOO!!) on our way back, and be back in town next Thursday. All that to say, if you call, I may or may not have service. I will get back to you. Please be patient. You are important to me. But this week, my husband is my priority. I hope you understand.

Love to all. Now you go love your husband. If you don't have one, pick out a random family member and love them :)

Heath + Chasity

Heath and Chasity, I so much enjoyed sharing this day with you. Getting to share time with you after the ceremony to take photos was great, I loved getting to see the love bounce off the two of you. I am praying many blessings over your marriage. Enjoy love!

New Song!!!!

Probably equal to photography, a huge passion in my life is Music. I absolutely LOVE finding new bands, falling in love with their lyrics and rhythm, and eventually making my way to a concert to dance my heart out and show my love. I am sure this is seen throughout Wes' and my work... haha... all of our packages are named after songs :) It is through music we are inspired and we create our own art.

When I discovered this new upcoming artist out of Birmingham, Al, I was instantly hooked. His soft music makes me want to close my eyes and sway back and forth while eating fresh fruit barefoot... haha... (sometimes my hippie comes out). He is singing song one out of six on my site. His name, Jordan Barrios. I am working hard to find a reason to bring him here, to the lovely Florence, Al. Hopefully soon.

But until then, enjoy him out at
http://www.myspace.com/jordanbarrios
And bring out your inner hippie. We all have it, just some of us have to search harder than others.

And I want to add one last thing: the song I added to my website it dedicated to a few people... first my best friend, Megan Arocha... she introduced me to mangos and who has loved me despite the fact we can be polar opposites :) and second, Leigh Watwood, who will dance with me in even the most awkward situations and sway like tree with me :) I love ya'll.

Thanks for reading this. If you have songs of your own you love and inspire you, leave a comment. I would truly love to hear them!!

Love.

Kate + Brett Engagement!!

Kate and Brett, I enjoyed spending time with ya'll so much!! Ya'll are so cute and so easy to work with. Kate, I love the blue/orange wall. I can tell you are developing the eye of a photographer when you can spot something as small as that wall was and want to do something with it :) Downtown Fayetteville is the Perfect location for a session! I love it. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

Bridal Booth/ Updates

We did it!!! haha.. whooo hooo!!! Last Sunday, Wes and I participated in our very first Bridal Show!! It was awesome, I got to meet so many cool and interesting people. I was so proud of us working to build our booth... it was so much fun. It started out as a drawing (shown above) and we actually created it!! I discovered that I love building things with my husband! I am learning just how handy he is :) So here are our photos... you will have to excuse the un-professionalism in them... I was tired of carrying around my "real" camera... so these are just normal pictures with our point and shoot, Thank God for point and shoots...

Now for the "updates"
Wes and I are gearing up for a busy October full of sessions and weddings, but finishing September strong with a much anticipated wedding this Friday... I can't wait for this one. We are in the works of praying for and deciding if we are going to get a gallery here in Florence. It is pretty exciting to think about, so fingers crossed we will find the right place at the right time. As far as we go, we are more in love than ever I think, enjoying our moments off with new Netflix movies and romantic drives to places we have never been. Marry your best friend. That is what I was always told. Thank the Lord, I found my best friend and he agreed to marry me. I am blessed.

Jonathan + Lane

This couple is amazing, this shoot was amazing, my job is amazing. Wow. Seriously. This was my first time shooting back in Wes' hometown of Tupelo, MS, and it was fabulous. There were so many cool windows, alleyways, vacant buildings... I can't wait to go back for a second shoot. First off, Lane and Jonathan have the sweetest relationship... it is the special kind, where you know he is going to make her laugh for the rest of her life. I love it.

This session reminded me of why I love my job so much...meeting amazing couples, finding interesting locations, and flirting with my husband while shooting pictures I have never shot before.... I am blessed.

Thank you Lane and Jonathan!! You rock!! I hope to work with you again soon!!!
